Ludwigsburg Porcelain Factory
The porcelain factory was founded in 1756 and taken over in 1758 by Duke Carl Eugen of Württemberg as 'a necessary attribute of the glory and dignity' of a prince. It began production in 1759 under the arcanist J. J. Ringler, who was director until c. 1802.
