the German inscription engraved around the hunting scene translates as: When sorrow torments us enjoy a glass of wine and also the joy of a hunt; engraved on the opposite side: F.A.K.J.P.V.C.F.Z.S. (Friedrich August Keonig in Polen und Chur Fuerst zu Sachsen).
