Derby Porcelain Factory
in 1756 William Duesbury from Chelsea joined a banker John Heath who had an interest in the Cockpit Hill Pottery and André Planché, a "chinamaker of Derby," in an agreement to start a factory and this presumably became the first Derby Porcelain Factory.
