William Wegman, who draws, paints, and has worked as a video and conceptual artist, is best known for his droll portraits of his pet Weimaraner. His images often contain visual puns or irrational setups that encourage viewers to take a second look. Wegman's work reminds us that what we expect to see often colors our interpretation of what is actually there.
