Description

Born in Cleveland to Czech immigrants, Vanis studied metalsmithing at the Cleveland Institute of Art and forged her career in a male-dominated field. Although she worked many years as a jewelry designer for a local studio, she remains best-known for her independently created objects in silver, such as Chalice, which also features enamelwork.
