Description
Rendered with the artist’s characteristic light and elegant touch, Norman Lewis’s Untitled features linear and angled black markings—several of which feature dimensional shading—arranged judiciously amid stippled hazes in black, green, and russet. It belongs to a series of similar abstract expressionist compositions the artist executed around 1960.
