Charlotte Trenkamp has belonged to The Print Club of Cleveland since 1924, longer than any other member. In 1960, after Munakata executed two woodcuts published by the Club, the museum organized an exhibition of his work. The Trenkamps purchased Cherry Blossoms from that show.
