Mitsuaki Sora

(Japanese, 1933-)

Color woodcut

Seventy-fifth anniversary gift of William E. Ward in memory of his wife, Evelyn Svec Ward 1992.153

Sora is a renowned sculptor. In fact, the forms he uses as a
printmaker resemble the shapes in his three-dimensional
constructions. In his prints, shapes overlap, creating new
colors as they dance across the page.
