Description

A calligrapher and Buddhist monk, Bundo Shunkai was recognized as a Person of Cultural Merit by the Japanese government in 1968. He adhered to the East Asian tradition in which the human spirit and nature are one. This verse reads, "My spirit is like the spring wind and autumn moon."
